As part of the STREAM IT project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon WIDERA programme, the Institute Mihajlo Pupin continues to support young people in developing skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial mindsets within STE(A)M fields. Through activities of the National Inspiration Hub (NIH) in Serbia, the project creates spaces for learning, dialogue, and inspiration, with a special focus on inclusion, equal opportunities, and empowering girls and young women to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Recent STREAM IT webinars have showcased the growing importance of youth entrepreneurship in the digital and STE(A)M-driven economy. While these online activities are part of the STREAM IT project, other upcoming in-person events, including conferences organised independently, further explore inclusive business leadership and the development of young entrepreneurial talent.

Webinar: Youth Entrepreneurship in the Digital World: Experiences, Challenges and Lessons Learned – 5 February 2026

The sixth webinar organised by the Institute Mihajlo Pupin within the STREAM IT project was dedicated to youth entrepreneurship in the digital world. The session brought together members of the NIH community interested in innovation, digital business, and entrepreneurial development.

The guest speaker, Lazar Krgović, a young entrepreneur and manager with experience in digital marketing, brand management, and business strategy development, shared his professional journey with participants. Through concrete examples, he reflected on the challenges young entrepreneurs face when entering the digital market, as well as on key lessons that helped him grow and sustain his projects.

Special attention was given to the role of inclusive education, ensuring equal access to opportunities in STE(A)M fields, and encouraging young women and men alike to pursue entrepreneurial initiatives. The webinar highlighted how developing STE(A)M skills can strengthen creativity, problem-solving, and leadership – essential ingredients for long-term professional success in a digital economy.

Looking Ahead: Conference “Business Tomorrow – Generation Z: A Secure Future of Business”

23 February 2026 | European House, Belgrade

Building on the momentum created through online activities, STREAM IT partners from Serbia will also contribute to broader discussions on youth entrepreneurship at the upcoming conference “Business Tomorrow – Generation Z: A Secure Future of Business”, organised by the Association of Business Women of Serbia.

The conference will bring together representatives of Generation Z, young successors of family and small businesses, alongside experienced actors from the financial, insurance, and institutional sectors. The event aims to open dialogue on leadership in transition, access to finance, business protection, and long-term stability in a rapidly changing business environment.

A strong focus will be placed on:

  •   intergenerational perspectives on leadership and responsibility,
  •   financial and institutional support for young entrepreneurs,
  •   innovation and adaptability in small and family-owned businesses,
  •   and the promotion of STE(A)M skills and inclusive practices as key factors for developing future leaders and supporting young women in entrepreneurship.

By connecting young entrepreneurs with institutions, financial actors, and experienced professionals, the conference represents an important step toward building bridges between generations and fostering inclusive, resilient, and future-ready business ecosystems.
