STREAM IT Ambassadors

 

Our Ambassadors selection marks the begining of an exciting journey, not just for them, but for countless young girls across Europe who aspire to roles in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). As part of this vital initiative, our ambassadors join a dedicated team tasked with a transformative mission: to inspire, empower, and enable the next generation of women in STEM.

Our Project’s Mission

The STREAM IT project is a Europe-wide initiative designed to tackle the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields. Our objectives are ambitious but clear:

  • Inspire Young Minds: Through direct engagement and role modelling, we aim to spark interest in STEM among young girls, showing them the exciting opportunities these fields offer.
  • Empower with Knowledge: By organising workshops, seminars, and discussions, we provide valuable education and insights into the practical and academic aspects of STEM careers.
  • Enable Future Success: Through mentorship and ongoing support, we help young girls build the confidence and skills necessary to pursue and succeed in STEM education and careers.

Our Ambassadors’ Role

As a Project Ambassador, they are at the heart of STREAM IT’s mission. Their experiences, achievements, and voice are critical tools in this endeavour. They will:

  • Serve as a Role Model: Our Ambassadors’ career and life experiences in STEM will serve as a beacon, shedding light on the possibilities and rewards of pursuing a career in these fields.
  • Engage and Educate: Through active participation in events and campaigns, you will help demystify STEM subjects, making them accessible and enticing.
  • Advocate for Change: By sharing Ambassadors journey and the challenges they’ve overcome, ambassadors will help challenge and change the stereotypes and barriers that still exist in STEM.
